What are the subscription tiers and their features?

SwiftPrep offers three subscription tiers: Free, Companion, and Power. All tiers include full campaign management features. Paid tiers add AI-powered capabilities and higher generation quotas.

Which Tier Is Right for You?

Stay on Free if you are evaluating SwiftPrep or primarily use it for organization rather than AI generation. You get the full entity system, relationships, session planning, and import/export with limited AI.

Choose Companion if you want AI to help with session prep. You get campaign-aware generation, the Session Companion chat, and 150 generations per month. Most DMs find this covers regular prep.

Choose Power if you prep intensively, run multiple campaigns, or want the most sophisticated AI features. You get relationship suggestions, advanced analysis, priority processing, and 400 generations per month.

AI limitations:

• 15 generations per month
• Basic Super Swift generators (no campaign context)

15 generations is enough to try AI features, but you will run out quickly if you rely on them.

Companion Tier

Best for: Regular prep sessions, campaign-aware generation, brainstorming

Price: $7.99/month

Everything in Free, plus:

Campaign-aware generation When you generate content, the AI considers your existing entities, relationships, and story threads. Output fits your world instead of being generic fantasy.

Session Companion chat An AI assistant for brainstorming, in-session help, and developing ideas through conversation. Attach entities for context-aware responses.

Full Super Swift access All 8 generators with campaign context enabled.

Background suggestions (basic) SwiftPrep analyzes your campaign and suggests:

• Potential relationships between entities
• Forgotten entities that have not appeared recently
• Unresolved plot threads

150 generations per month Enough for regular prep. A typical session prep might use 10-20 generations.

Power Tier

Best for: Intensive prep, multiple campaigns, most sophisticated AI

Price: $14.99/month

Quota Management

How Quota Works

Each AI action uses credits from your monthly quota:

• Super Swift generation: 1 credit
• Field-by-field AI generation: 1 credit
• Session Companion message: 1 credit

Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle.

Quota Indicators

SwiftPrep shows your quota status with color-coded indicators:

When Quota Is Exhausted

If you use all your monthly generations:

• AI features show a quota exhausted message
• All non-AI features continue working normally
• Your data is unaffected
• Quota resets at your next billing cycle

Or purchase a Pay-As-You-Go package.

Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG)

Need more generations before your quota resets? Purchase additional credits:

How to Purchase

1. Open Settings in the sidebar
2. Click Buy More Generations
3. Select a package
4. Complete payment
5. Credits are available immediately

Changing Tiers

Upgrading

1. Open Settings
2. Click Manage Subscription
3. Select your new tier
4. Complete payment
5. New tier takes effect immediately
6. Quota resets to new tier's limit

Downgrading

1. Open Settings
2. Click Manage Subscription
3. Click Change Plan
4. Select the lower tier
5. Change takes effect at next billing cycle
6. You keep current access until then

Your data is never deleted when changing tiers. Campaigns, entities, and relationships remain intact. Only AI feature access changes.

Cancelling

1. Open Settings
2. Click Manage Subscription
3. Click Cancel Subscription
4. Confirm cancellation
5. You retain access until billing period ends
6. After expiration, you revert to Free tier

Offline and Grace Periods

SwiftPrep works offline using cached subscription data. If you lose internet:

When you reconnect, SwiftPrep automatically verifies your subscription and restores access.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to provide my own API keys? No. AI usage is included in your subscription. SwiftPrep handles all AI processing.

What happens to my data if I cancel? Nothing. Your campaigns and entities remain on your computer. You can still use all non-AI features on Free tier.

Can I try Companion before committing? Free tier gives you 15 AI generations per month, enough to try the features before upgrading.
